What your architecture review covers
An application can work today while carrying hidden risks. We inspect one agreed workload and its supporting Azure infrastructure, then explain which changes matter most to the business.
Our review follows the five pillars of the Azure Well-Architected Framework. Sustainability is an additional lens on efficient resource use, rather than a sixth Azure pillar.
- Reliability: Review recovery targets, backups, restoration tests, dependencies, retries, and failure handling.
- Security: Examine identities, tenant boundaries, permissions, secrets, data protection, and security monitoring.
- Cost optimization: Compare spending with demand, identify idle capacity, and review ownership and cost allocation.
- Operational excellence: Assess deployments, monitoring, incident response, runbooks, and support responsibilities.
- Performance efficiency: Check capacity, scaling behavior, bottlenecks, and performance under representative demand.
- Sustainability considerations: Identify avoidable resource use and discuss efficiency improvements alongside business requirements.
These decisions involve tradeoffs. Extra redundancy can improve recovery while increasing cost. We make the assumptions visible so your team can choose deliberately.
